Nijigarh Tapang A Hidden beauty near Bhubaneswar
Odisha is the state of asthetic
beauty whether it be in arts , cultural and scenic aspects , it doesn’t lag
behind.There are beautiful hills,dense forests,alluring temples and vast
beaches.Among these beauties,there is one such place which is situated in
Nijigarh Tapang.
It was an old mining area before
decades of years.Now it has turned into a lake due to rainwater and ground
water.It is situated at a distance of 38.7kms from Bhubaneshwar,the capital city
of Odisha.It takes approximately 46 mins from there.
It is located in Nijigarh district
of Khurda in the close vicinity of NH16.It was an abandoned stone mine where
exacavation was carried out all around the hills for stones and chips.When the
exacavation reached close to 150feet below
ground level,sources of water was found and then further digging was
interdicted.

After this the stone mine was
abandoned,water bodies were developed all round the hills.There are several
small mountains nearby where waters are stored in between them which gives an
exquisite scenic views.
This place came into the limelight
and garnered popularity recently.It is a suitable place for photoshoots.It is a
naturally beautiful place.
But according to localites,it is
unsafe to visit the place alone in the evening time as according to
reports many anti-social works are also
carried out there after sunset.
